Grapes are sour theory Says Star Plus

As Everyone Knows Rakhi Sawant on Tuesday filed a criminal complaint against Star Plus channel, alleging them of cheating after she lost in the finals of reality show Nach Baliye 3.

Star Plus in turn has rejected the charges of malpractice and called the whole fiasco as nothing but just a publicity stunt by Rakhi. They even refused to comment on the police case filed as claimed by Rakhi.

Mr. Keertan, Executive Vice-President & General Manager, Star Plus says, “Currently we have not received any communication either from Rakhi or from Police. We feel this is just a publicity stunt by Rakhi just like all other publicity stunts. We would not like to comment until we receive a clear communication.” Mr. Keertan also cleared the allegation of the faulty voting system saying, “We have not done anything of the sort. She is alleging lot of things, throwing a lot of allegations in the air, but where is the evidence to prove any of these allegations? Tomorrow anybody in the street can charge anything on anybody. Without any evidence or proof, you just cannot speak out.”

Seeing the manner in which the controversial star, Rakhi has gone all out, the channel feels that this is more of a case of a sour looser. “See, till she made it to the finals and other couples were getting eliminated, everything was right. So what happened now? Essentially we would say it’s a simple case of Grapes are sour theory”, says Mr. Keertan.

What Do u Say Friends Is this really a case of '
Grapes are sour ' Or What Rakhi stated is Correct ?

SONY TV has launched two brand new weekend shows

Sony Entertainment Television (SET) has launched two brand new weekend shows - 'Champion Chaalbaaz No.1', a fun-intended show based on American original Pranksters and 'K for Kishore', a musical talent hunt.

'Champion Chaalbaaz No. 1' is a reality-based comedy format show that will bring 33 contestants. Theses contestants will be judged by a live studio audience and Cyrus Broacha and Saajid Khan, who will judge and critique them on their skill. The show starts from December 22, at 10.00 pm.

Each episode will showcase 3 pranksters who will pull off an individual prank followed by them getting together to pull off a combined prank. Every episode will also feature a celebrity prank. While the pranks may seem mean, it’s all in good humor and without malice making for a great laugh.

Albert Almeida, Executive Vice-president and Business Head, Sony Entertainment Television, said "SET has in keeping with its promise been very innovative in breaking new ground in the comedy genre with a very successful season 1 of Comedy Circus. With 'Champion Chaalbaaz No. 1', Sony Entertainment Television aims to further explore the genre by bringing out the mischievous side of the common man and promises to keep viewers’ tickled and entertained."

'Champion Chaalbaaz No. 1' is the Indian version of the international format Prankstar from Endemol India. This format show is simultaneously launched for the first time in India and the US. SET continues its partnership with Endemol in providing formats like this, having successfully launched shows like Bigg Boss, and Fear Factor in the past.

On the other hand, 'K for Kishore', will try to relive the times of the legend Kishore Kumar. Come December 21, every Friday, Saturday 9.00 pm, a few selected young men, who have tried to master the voice of the legendary singer over the years across India, will compete to be crowned Kishore Kumar's 'Heir Apparent' – a voice that is closest to the legend.

'K for Kishore' is a music reality show, which will run over 10 weeks (20 episodes), with 12 contestants, all professional & seasoned singers, competing and aiming at being the voice closest to that of Kishore Kumar. The judges for the show are popular music director and singer Bappi Lahiri who knew Kishore da as a friend and musician, singer Sudesh Bhonsle, who completed all Kishore da's incomplete film songs after his death.

Adds Almeida, "'K for Kishore' is a truly exciting concept that will bring back the magic of the legendary Kishore Kumar. 12 great singers handpicked from across the country will re-create this magic and compete to be his ‘singing prodigy’. The journey of finding Kishore’s ‘Singing Heir Apparent’ promises to enthrall audiences and help them connect and relive the glorious era of the legendary Kishore Kumar."

For 'K for Kishore', SET has once again partnered with production houses Miditech after Indian Idol (1, 2 and 3). SET through its marketing and promotional efforts with its partners Radio Mirchi and IBN 7 promises to take this popular show across the nation.

Rajat Tokas Celebrates Christmas With Star Voice of India Chote Ustads

Its festive time and
Chhote Ustaad participants get
into the groove in a special three-hour long episode this Friday. This
Christmas, all the ‘little wonders’ of Amul
STAR Voice of India – CHHOTE USTAAD are set to fill the stage with fun
& frolic with their singing charisma. As a special surprise, Santa Claus,
comes to greet each contestant to make this Christmas even more special.
Moreover the presence of young Prithviraj, the very famous Rajat
Tokas, accelerates the enthusiasm of all the 12 Chhote Ustaads. Rajat is
not only awestruck by the performances but also experiences a range of emotions
by being a part of the show.

Keeping in mind the festive mood, Abhaas along with the contestants kick starts
the musical evening with a peppy number ‘Bam
Bam Bhole’ from the much awaited movie ‘Tare Zameen Par’. With
great zeal all of them dance to the tune while singing. Anwesha comes up on
stage and sings to the tune of ‘Chanda Re’.
Her performance gets her appreciation from all the judges and Pritam finds
Anwesha’s voice very similar to Shreya Ghoshal. The tiniest of all, Abeer
comes on stage to sing ‘Halka Halka Sa Yeh
Nasha’. He reveals that he hopes to become the next Sonu Nigam &
Hrithik Roshan. The pahari dragon, Prakriti Giri sings a sensuous number ‘Tinka
Tinka’. The Biking Khan of Rampur, Areeb earns a standing ovation for
his song ‘Jiya dhadak dhadak jaaye’.
Shreya is very happy since Areeb’s voice has become much better after he’s
worked on her advice.

The Delhi girl Soniya sings ‘Aaj Ki Raat’.
All the judges appreciate her rendition but insist that she can perform much
better. Vyom gets a huge round of applause for his song ‘Chaand
Taare’. Mansi, known as Chhota Bhaloo, enthralls everyone with her song
‘Mere Khwabon mein Jo aaye’. Her
expressions while singing leaves everyone amazed. Rajat gets on stage to kiss
and hug angelic Mansi. Aishwariya leaves the audience staring at her in wonder
with her rendition of ‘Pyar hua chupke se’.

The four contestants who have to pass the acid test are Gitashree, Shailey,
Jayant and Alpansh. Gitashree starts off with the song ‘Chabeela’
while Shailey shows her singing excellence with ‘Dil
Hai Chota Sa’. Jayant’s performance of the song ‘Main
Jahan Rahoon’ leaves everyone teary eyed and completely overwhelmed.
Rajat remarks, “I’ve never cried in my
life but Jayant moved me to tears.” Last but not the least, Alpansh
sings ‘Papa Kehte Hai’.

All the 12 contestants perform their best to remain in the competition but
sadly, one of them is evicted. Please note that there will be no episode of Amul
Star Voice of India on Saturday due to the Nach Baliye grand finale.

Shraddha Nigam is back on the small screen

Best known for her role in Choodiyan, Shraddha Nigam is back on the small screen. She's playing one of the leads in Zee Next's series: Pyar Ishq aur Mohabbat. "Kiya is a girl whose life revolves around her sister, Sanaa, a Bollywood actress," says Nigam.

The twist is that Nigam falls for her sister's boyfriend, Angad, played by Sachin Sharma.

The actress is currently working on two films but refuses to divulge details. Will she quit the tube if she strikes gold in films? "I will. It would be difficult to handle both," she says.

Iqbal Khan returned with Choona Hai Aasmaan.

He walked out of the K factory only to become telly world's heart-throb. Actor Iqbal Khan chats with Janaki Viswanathan

Four years ago, he featured in the ha-ha movie Fun2shh: Dudes in the 10th Century followed by Bullet: Ek Dhamaka and Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai. Then thunder and lightning.. he walked out of Balaji Telefilms. Seven months later, Iqbal Khan returned with Choona Hai Aasmaan.

Why did you quit Kaisa...?

I didn't quit, it ended. Karam Apna Apna was the only soap I quit and that's because I wanted time off to get married.

You didn't quit because of a problem with Ekta Kapoor?

I never had a problem with Ekta. I had a problem with the production house. You can't make people work 24x7 yaar! There are actors who just walk out of shoots, I couldn't do that. So I quit.

Apparently she used to call you to late night parties.

Wow, really? Ekta knows I'm not a party animal. I've attended just two parties thrown by her. She has this tradition of pouring out tequila shots for everyone. But she knows I don't drink and she never forced me to.

Recently, she lashed out against actors who've left her camp. Yeah.

It's claimed that I said, "Just you wait and see my comeback." When and where did I say that? I'm not the kinds who make such statements.

What if you are offered another K serial?

Right now, I'm happy with Choona Hai... the show hasn't been majorly promoted but it's doing well.

How did Choona... happen?

I was approached by
Star One in January but I was getting married then. They returned two months later. I liked the concept. I don't know why it's called ‘different'... just because it's set against the backdrop of the air force. Like most soaps, it's about the interplay of emotions.

Why nix lead roles in Maayka and Parrivar?

Vis-a-vis Maayka, I was tired of doing family dramas. As for Parrivar I'd already accepted , Choona Hai... by then.

It's said you avoided Maayka because the female lead was being played by Neha Bamb.

Come on! The truth is.. Neha and I didn't get along on the sets of Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai. Later, things got better.

She got married last week. Did you attend?

I heard about it. I didn't go. I didn't call either.

Getting real

I s it rigged? That's one of the questions posed whenever fights break out or unexpected contestants get out of reality contests.

Excerpts from a conversation with Rannvijay and Raghu (winner and crew member of MTV Roadies respectively), Abhijeet Sawant (Indian Idol Season One winner), Sandeep Sachdev (winner Biggest Loser Jeetega and Neha Bhasin (former band member of Viva, courtesy Channel [V] Popstars) Anything to get in Raghu: One guy came in on the first day of the group discussion for Roadies. He was blind. We thought how will he take part in the show?

Roadies is about adventure and tasks. But we liked his spirit and selected him. In the second round, both Nikhil Chinapa and I figured something was wrong. Nikhil went close to him and he stopped talking... when spoken to, he turned his eyes towards us.

We called an eye specialist and did a test on camera.. he was completely normal! We kicked him out of the show. In Jaipur, he came again! Naghma: He tried again? Raghu: Yeah. He said he was a theatre artist and had done it for effect. That's how far people go to get in. Losing it Sandeep Sachdev: I had a simple logic - the top three people will either be deserving ones, or those who don't deserve at all would win. We made sure we had our groups, and created such a situation where the best three would go in the final. Naghma: So there's grouping. Sandeep: You know how it happens. We tell each other that we're with you. Just before the final elimination, we say, ‘Sorry yaar.' We play these games. I had reached the elimination and I knew that I'd be out. I convinced others on the show that ‘Boss, today it's me.. tomorrow it's going to be you. Either you support me or you'll be out soon.' It worked for me. Rannvijay: And then you showed them the exit.

Fine tuning Abhijeet Sawant: We used to fight over song selection. You know like.. he's taken a better song. We didn't say anything to each other on the faces, but behind their back, we would complain, ‘Sir, he is doing like this..' Amit (Sana) was my roommate, when only four contestants were left. He suddenly became serious. He started practising throughout the day Even in . the night, I'd be sleeping, and he'd be sitting next to me rehearsing his song.. the rest of them also came to see his practice.

13 cameos in 3 months in Bidaai!

13 cameos in 3 months in Bidaai!

With Kartik Sabrawal doing a small role in Star Plus’ show Bidaai, the serial has seen as many as 13 cameos in the last three months.

The other 12 being Rajesh Thakkar, Neeta Shetty, Mahesh Thakur, Vishal Singh, Rucha Gujrati, Manish Rai Sighani, Rajesh Khattar, Yamini Singh, Pragiti Mehra, Sheela David, Rajinder Dubey and Girish Jain.

Explaining the trend, producer and series director Rajan Shahi says, “Every cameo had a purpose and added some kind of twist to the track. There were some interesting cameos – like the one of Mahesh Thakur where there was emotion and drama which made the audience cry. Such small roles create an impact and link the story.”

Rajan adds, “Why put a particular actor in your serial and not utilize him to his true potential? I have roped in some very well known actors like Rajesh Khattar, Rucha Gujrati and have made very good use of them. With Kartik again we are doing the same.”

So, when the silsila of cameos end?” Very soon. By the end of this year we are planning to introduce an important family and two heroes will also make an entry. We have not yet roped in anyone yet for it,” Rajan concludes.

Kahani mein twist hai kyunki

Saakshi Tanwar aka Parvati Aggrawal will be entering the Virani household for a second time. She will play a major role in helping Tulsi get Mihir out from jail.

A source from the production house tells us, “Mihir’s death sentence is approaching and Viranis are looking for desperate measures to save him. The Agarwals, and in particular Parvati (Sakshi Tanwar), offer their help in trying to get Mihir out of jail. A ray of hope also comes in the form of Trupti’s look-alike Babli (Suvarna Jha). That’s all I can reveal now. You must watch the next episodes to know the result. “

But why such a sudden change in the track? Is it because of Smriti’s presence in Teen Bahuraniyaan? “I really can’t comment on this. It was the creative team’s decision but this drama will surely capture the imagination of the viewers. This Kyunki-Kahaani mixture is bound to arouse more interest and also take away the shine from Smriti’s entry in Teen Bahuraaniyan,” feels the source.

Jay Bhanushali disappointed with audience support

Jay Bhanushali, one of the 3 finalist of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is quite disappointed at the lack of audience support. "When ever I go out, people say that we love your dance and always vote for you. But unfortunately when it comes to elimination round, I always land up in the dock! In fact, once when I was in the safe zone, I complained to the creative team, that please don't get me out of the groove", says Jay..

This Guju boy admitted that most of his supporters were girls. "But I would even want guys to vote for me", he laughed. When asked what inspires him to do those great Salsa and Jive moves, he says the fear of going out makes him go berserk on the gala night! "All the good industry dancers get into my system", says the chirpy actor.

Any hints on what you will be doing for Friday's final? "A never before avatar,is all I will say at the moment", was his answer. A little birdie told us that Jay has shaved his entire body for one of the 3 performances for the Finale, where he will don a woman's avatar.

9X New show “Jiya Jale”

The 9X show “Jiya Jale”, produced by the non-fiction King Siddhartha Basu, has the very beautiful and talented, Sriti Jha donning the lead role. She had already proved her talent in the Disney Channel serial “Dhoom Machaao Dhoom” as a school going girl.

Sriti, who had tried a hand at acting in the Disney Channel serial “Dhoom Machaao Dhoom” as a school going girl, always loved acting but never imagined that she’ll one day find herself on Television. “I wanted to act, but never imagined it would be in this big a scale”, opines the actress. But now that she finds herself here, she is enjoying every bit of it. What made her take this role? “At this stage of my career I am not offered roles. It’s the roles I decide to audition for, that I get. I still don’t have that luxury. But the thing that excited me very much about this role is that the character Sunaina is a very normal character. Moreover, I found she is very close to Sriti.” Then laughs and adds, “Although I am not as righteous as she is.”

Jiya Jale is the love story of Sunaina and Chandan, being played by Saurabh Pandey. How does Sriti find her co-actor? “He is marvelous. But I would rather say, all my co-actors are amazing. The best time we spend on the sets is during the breaks. We have loads of fun together. Infact, when I am not shooting, it’s then that I really miss those people around”, says Sriti who has found a family on sets. Sriti has come a long way from doing the role of Malini to now Sunaina. “Yes, both the roles are so different. Malini was serious and a school going character. Here the role is very close and more real, of a matured girl, and I am trying to give my best to it. I am sure those who loved me as Malini would also love me as Sunaina", comes the reply.

Malini or Sunaina, it is Sriti and her presence that makes the difference to her viewers. She has a lot to offer to her viewers and we wish Sriti all the very best for her 'Sunehra' days.

'I am really excited to have Karan in my life' - Shraddha Nigam

Despite climbing up the popularity charts fast and having many offers in her hand, Shraddha Nigam is one actress who is very chosy about the kind of roles she does. "I admit, I am very choosy about my roles. I have been working continiously for the last few years and want to take it a bit easy now. She was busy in Dubai shooting for two Pakistani serials," says the pretty actress who was last seen in Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Asmaan.

"I know people often complain that I act in very few serials and that I should take up more work. I feel honoured that my fans think this way, but I always want to be remembered for my role and my performances, not for the number of serials I act in," she explains.

So what's up her sleeve now? "I am shooting for a new show on the soon-to-be-launched channel, Zee Next, Hum Tum, where I am playing the role of a simple workaholic girl. It is a triangular love story, with me, Sachin Sharma and Sampada Vaze playing the pivotal roles," says Shraddha.

Shraddha is going great guns in her personal life as well. She has managed to find her love in Karan Singh Grover. "I am really excited to have him in my life. Karan is a wonderful person. He is extremely fun loving and a very positive guy," says the blushing beauty.

How does she rate Karan the actor? "I feel his new role in Dill Mill Gayye is the best so far. Karan is a brilliant actor. When I was shooting for my new show in Goa, everyday I would create some scene to ensure that I see Karan's show on television!", says the excited lover girl. The duo was even supposed to take part in Nach Baliye, but due to clash of dates for Shraddha, it did ot materialise.

Currently Shraddha is busy with two films which she doesn't want to discuss in detail at this point. Point taken Shraddha, we will wait!

Gautami Kapoor living the role of Tulsi Viraani to the Hilt!

Gautami Kapoor traversed the tough road ahead in replacing Smriti Irani as Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and 6 months down the lane, the actress feels glad that she has succeeded in this endavour. Telly Buzz spoke to the better half of Ram Kapoor on her above efforts.

Kasauti Zindagi Kii is finally ending and given similar viewer fatigue with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thii as well, do you think Ekta will soon take a call on your show too?

I am not the right person to answer this question. But as an actress, I would hope that Kyunki goes on for years like Bold and the Beautiful. As for viewer fatigue, this can happen, for our serial has run for the last 7 years. But every time, we have bounced back and am sure that we will succeed here as well.

Have you successfully erased the Smriti chapter, playing the role of Tulsi?

I never compare myself to Smriti . When I entered, I had made a deliberate attempt to be my self. Had I tried to be somebody else, it would have bombed big time. Honestly, when I was first approached by Balaji, I did not think it would be national news. But the way, you guys splashed it all over, I was surprised. But even then, I did not change my approach.

But your character is not as aggressive as Smriti's earlier avatar was. Your take on this?

Yes, but you have to understand the situation in which I entered. Tulsi was returning to her home, where she was unwanted. How can she be her old self?

As a modern woman, do you identify with Saas Bahu clashes?

It's a fallacy to say that urban women don't watch family drama's . My mum is an ardent Kyunki fan. Her schedule always gets upset due to this show. See, I agree the plots are far fetched, but who wants to see normal day to day routines? Viewers want escapism from their dull boring lives. Hence this exaggeration is needed.

As a talented actress, don't you wish to go beyond family show genre ?

Its not that I have not attempted different stuff. Ram and me worked in Dhadkan, which bombed badly. This SET hospital drama was the most realistic show, I have ever worked on. Similarly, Kehta Hai Dil began on a pragmatic note addressing contemporary social issues like a la Picket Fences . The first 4 episodes were a big flop, but the moment the creatives added saas bahu track, the show went on to become that year's biggest hit.

Where is the story track of Kyunki headed now?

As you know, Tripti is dead and Mihir is in jail for murder. I believe he is being framed and I am out to find out the truth. This track is made interesting with the return of Suvarana Jha as Balwinder Kaur, a typical Punjabi kudi.

Is there a cross-over episode with Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki planned?

Yes, it always fun to mix two different shows. But right now, all I can say is that Parvati will offer her help to the Viranis, and this will be shown in the fusion episode. Wait and watch to know more..

Being the mother of small girl, how do you juggle both work and baby?

Balaji has given me very flexible working hours. Besides, I have a great support system in my mom and mother-in-law. But yes, I do have separation pangs like every mother has.

At the launch of the show, CEO, NDTV Imagine, Sameer Nair said, “We promised you freshness and innovation and we’re delivering that promise. ‘Say Shaava Shaava’ is an outright entertainer. The contestants are established stars, who will use all their talent to impress Karan and the audiences. Talking on his new role as a judge, Karan Johar said, “It’s great to be back on television, albeit in a new avatar. It’s something I haven’t done before and I’m really looking forward to it. Sumeet who was last seen in Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai is also very excited with his new venture on Imagine. “There are two reasons for taking up the shows. Firstly it’s related to music and secondly all the telly stars are going to share space. I’ll be singing after seventeen years so it’s very exciting and at the same time I’ll be able to meet different actors,” he explains.

“I liked the concept of the show. The way Imagine has launched the show and the overall presentation looks fresh and exhilarating. I use to sing here and there but this is going to be the first time that I will sing on such a big platform. There is nervousness but I’m thrilled. I feel I’m in a creative process,” quips the Bengal beauty Mouni Roy.

As audiences get ready to watch yet another ‘different’ reality show we do hope this is the biggest boss of them all.

Manish Naggdev in Jiya Jale

Manish Naggdev aka Chinoo of Dulhan seems to have his hands full. After being associated with Zee’s show for a year, Manish has bagged a new show on 9x. Now he’ll be seen in Jiya Jale as Gaurav.

“I’m playing a completely different role. Gaurav is a complete dude. This character is different from what I play in Dulhaan,” says Manish

Comparing both the characters, Manish explains, “Dulhan has been and will always remain my first love. My journey from Chinoo of Dulhan to Gaurav in Jiya Jale has been quite exciting. It's a complete make-over that I have experienced for my new show in terms of my character. Chinoo was a Banarasi guy who spoke only in Hindi and Gaurav of Jiya Jale has an image of the boy- next- door and a charmer."

“I’ve a heroic entry and it feels great to be a second lead in the show. I’m very lucky as both my shows are at the top when it comes to TRP’s,” adds Manish.

Will History Repeat itself? - Kumkum Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan..

Kumkum Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan, the afternoon serial on Star Plus has given the audience the fascinating On screen Pair of Sumit-Kumkum, a Jodi which has been looked up to by all, for more than 5 years now… But how did this pair get together in the first case? If we take a backward journey in the serial, we see a glimpse of Kumkum, Jatin’s widow, crying over her fate, when her marriage to Vishal does not take place.. At this critical phase of Kumkum’s life enters Sumit, Jatin’s younger brother, who puts Sinndoor on Kumkum’s forehead and takes her as his wife! The reason for this being, Kumkum is pregnant with Jatin’s kid, and Sumit wants to save his family pride. This Devar-Bhabhi union, till today, remains to be the highlight of this long running serial…

Now, after many a leaps in the serial, the story seems to have come to the end of a vicious cycle, where the sons of Sumit and Kumkum find themselves exactly where destiny had placed their father so many years back… The present track is poised at the stage where, Dhruv, (their eldest son), has decided to marry Sia, and leave behind his first wife, Antara and his kid. Playing the role of Sumit in the new generation is Sharman,(Sumit’s youngest son) who wants Sia to be happy with his brother, and also knows that Sia is pregnant with his brother’s kid..

Now, are we going to see history repeating itself in the serial? Will the audience see Dhruv change his decision at the last minute, and decide to stay with Antara? If this happens, then wonder what will happen to Sia and her unborn kid? Will Sharman step into Sumit’s shoes, and save his family pride once again, by marrying his brother’s love, Sia? If this does happen, what will happen to Neeti, Sharman’s lover? Will she take a leaf out of Renuka’s book (Sumit’s lover, when Sumit married Kumkum) and take revenge on the Wadhwas?

If history does repeat in the serial, then will the audience not be catered to ‘Old Wine in a New Bottle’ storyline? No doubts, that the pair of Sumit and Kumkum was accepted with both hands, by the viewers, but will the next generation too be accepted in the same way? As we talk of all the similarities in the storyline, we need to hit at one striking dissimilarity – While Jatin, Kumkum’s first husband was not alive when Sumit married her, in this case, if Sia gets married to Sharman, then Dhruv and his first wife Antara will be there in their lives too.. So what next?

Kumkum Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan is sure to leave the audience with some surprising twists this coming week… Only time will tell whether the creatives are offering the audience, with something different from last time or not?

Kasautii Zindagi Kii Going Off Air!

Kasautii Zindagi Kii has kept glued the audience to the television sets for the past many years. The chemistry between Anurag and Prerna wooed the audience while the antagonist Komolika’s style became the talk of the town. Love story between the two turned into a triangle story with the entry of Mr. Bajaj, an avid lover of Prerna. Getting caught between Anurag and Mr. Bajaj, Prerna became the house hold name as she struggled to win all the kasautii in her life. After taking leap after leap, Kasautii Zindagi Kii, is now coming to an end. Though the date has not yet been finalized, our sources say that the serial would wind up on January 14th 2008.

Confirming this news, GM and EVP (Star Plus) Keertan Adyanthaya quipped, “Yes, sometimes good things come to an end, but on Star Plus, they get better, we are going to come up with some great new programs, so keep watching this space”.

Ronit Roy, who acquired stardom with the immensely popular role of Mr. Bajaj said, “A great path breaking, life altering chapter of my life is coming to an end. But i guess all good things must also eventually come to and end. There is a certain amount of sadness that it is coming to an end, a certain amount of pride that I saw it till the very end, a certain amount of 'Phew, Long Journey', certain amount of curiosity, and anticipation of WHAT NEXT”.

When asked Hiten Tejwani, who is playing the role of Anurag in the last 20 year leap said, “It has been a nice journey, enjoyed it to the core. Something different, I tried here, and am glad I was a part of Kasauti”.

This daily soap introduced some very talented faces like Sweta Tiwari, Cezzane Khan, and now with Kasautii Zindagii Kii shutting shop, all the characters will definitely be missed on screen. But as said “Every start has an end”, and this serial too had to come to an end, one day or the other.

New Twist in Kyunki.. with a New Character's Entry!

The murder track of Trupti in the serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thhi, takes a dramatic turn when Mihir suddenly confess in the court that it was he who had murdered Trupti and not Gautam, thus finding himself behind the bars. The lawyer, Aditya Rai Singhania, hired by Tulsi and Karan, makes his entry into the serial here to fight the case for Mihir.

Incidentally the lawyer will be a relative of Nandini. This role is being played by Hasan Zaidi who has the experience of working in serials like “Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai”, “Remix”, “Ek Ladki Anjani Si” and few others. Hasan himself is very excited with this new role. “I am very happy to do the role of a lawyer. A lawyer’s role has always fascinated me. It’s fun doing this kind of a role where I get to say Objection My Lord and all”. But there’s more to it. After the leap was taken nobody ever questioned about the kid of Karan and Nandini. For months now the audiences have been kept away from this truth and probably this new character could be the son of Karan and Nandini. On asking Hasan even he did not deny. “As of now I don’t know but everything hints to that isn’t it?” And when questioned about the character he's portrays, Hasan answered, “He is a very intelligent and confident person with lot of attitude. He doesn’t believe in relationships but is honest by nature. His priority in life is job at hand.”

Finally the serial gives a new twist for its audience. Will this new character be the son of Karan and Nandini? Tune into Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi to find out more.
