One more reality show is ready for the Grand finale. The final countdown of SaReGaMAPa L’il Champs has begun, as the winner will be announced on 1st March. The creatives of L’il Champs have gone all out to make the finale extra special with grandiose plans and have planned out events to not only make the event memorable but also to keep the viewers glued on to the TV screens until the very last moment.
The whole show has been choreographed by the dance guru - Shiamak Davar. Keeping in mind that the little participants are performers first and not dancers, the noted choreographer has created dance sequences that are totally unique. The L'il champ contestants and Aditya Narayan will be dancing to the feet tapping chart toppers like Dard-e-disco, Rang barse bheege, Tumse milke dil ka hai haal kya kahein, songs from the movie Race etc". In fact Shiamak is so impressed with the enthusiasm, dedication and performance of the L'il champs & Aditya that he has bestowed the Shiamak Davar Scholarships which will allow the top 10 finalists as well as Aditya Narayan to go and learn dancing in Shiamak Davar classes free of cost!!!!
When asked, Payole the Creative Head of SRGMP explained more about the finale preparations. “We are organising a grand entry for everyone before they come on the stage. Also the show will be divided into different theme based segments. There will be one segment dedicated to Qawaali songs, one dedicated to club songs, one to UP flavor songs and one dedicated to Ajay and Kajol Devgan favorites, as they are the celebrity guests. So you will see different flavors in this finale,” said Payole. On the choreography she said, “The whole dance sequence is choreographed by the dance guru Shiamak Davar. The dance choreography is performed by Shaimaik Davar Junior Academy, so except Aditya Narayan we will see only kids taking centre stage. The choreography will be unique and will also have its own story to tell.”
Apart from the participants, the other main attractions will be performances by Sonu Nigam, Suresh Wadkarji, Aditya Narayan, last year L'il Champ finalists – Sanchita, Sameer and Divakar.
Little Nagin, Khushi Dubey will perform on a Nagin song. Even Alladin Team will be putting up a skit and Raju Srivastav will team up with Aditya Narayan to put up another skit.
The show promises to be totally entertaining. This is going to be a show to watch out for.Catch all the action on March 1st and get to know who will be crowned the SRGMP L'il Champ....

Pritam Ko Gussa Kyu Aaya?
eality shows, super sensationalized AV's on participants, dramatic overkills and walkouts all go hand in hand. It gets very hard to say when an incident is scripted and when not! The shoot for this week's episode saw a shocking incident on the sets of SVOI which made one of the judges - Pritam Chakraborty, stage a walk out in protest. Telly Buzz decided to catch up with Pritam to get to know all about the incident..
When we inquired as to what exactly had happened, Pritam explained, "What happened was very bad. Suddenly this girl from the audience comes down and kisses Emraan Hashmi. The worst part was that, Emraan was my guest. He had come for the promotion of my album. Even he was bit shaken with the incident and that's very natural too."
But how could the girl breach the security, reach Emraan and indulge in such a bold act is the biggest question Pritam wants to ask the Production house. And on asking if the whole fiasco was scripted he firmly states, "I don't want to get into that, but if this whole act was scripted, then it was a far worse situation and totally disgusting. I cannot fathom why such dramas would be required to promote a talent hunt show." He was quite vocal about his displeasure on the whole fiasco. "This is a show for kids and such things should not have been allowed to happen. When Mika Singh goes and kisses Raakhi, I am least bothered. But when there are kids around, some basic aesthetics and decorum needs to be maintained," is what the Music Director and Judge of the show had to convey to all.
He justified his walkout saying, "Yes I made a walk out because I was very annoyed. That girl after all this goes and sits down as if nothing had happened. I told the show producers to throw her out and only after that, I joined again". But with all this, he is also quite miffed with the production house for promoting this incident. "The whole incident is finally a disgrace to the show. Why advertise such a thing? It's more disgusting this way," says an annoyed Pritam.
Yes, indeed it is sad that a kid's show had to witness such a shocking incident. Whether all this was staged or was an impulsive act by a crazy fan, only the show producer and his crew can tell.

Kiran Kumar talks on his journey on Grahasti
Kiran Kumar makes a come back to the small screen after a hiatus with Star Plus’s Grahasti. Grahasti is a story based on women and their struggle in life. The veteran actor here portrays the role of Balraaj Khurana, the shelter to these women who are a world in its own for him. But as destiny prevails, Balraaj will soon make an exit only to leave these woman to the fate of bad times and hardships. Kiran Kumar talks on his journey on Grahasti…
“My journey in the show is quite short lived.” quotes the actor. Further on the character, Kiran states, “I started my career with television and have done more than five thousand episodes, portraying various characters. Balraaj tops the charts, and I feel is the best character that I’ve done so far. Balraaj is a character that has been taken to the highest peak and left there. When a good character is written, after reaching a certain point, the downfall for the character begins, but its completely different with Balraaj, he’s just cut off at the right point, which is very important for the story. It‘s only with Balraaj's exit, does the show take off. And as its rightly said, All good things have to come an end, same is the case with Balraaj and for this, I cannot thank the producers of the show enough for picking me for the role”.
Speaking about the show Kiran explains, “This is show is women oriented, however, there is a certain freshness to the story. The characters are quite colorful and different from one another. Balraaj’s sister is quite a joyous playful character while Balraaj’s daughters are unique in their own ways and their characters are beautifully sketched.” Kiran ends with his best wishes for the girls, “These girls are surely going to be the next biggest celebrities on television. They’re immensely talented and I hope they reach to even greater heights…”

Ekta's New launch - Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil
After the success of her range of daily soaps on Star Plus, Ekta Kapoor is all set to launch yet another new show called Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. The show will occupy the 8:30 p.m prime-time slot replacing the long-running soap, Kasautii Zindagii Kay. And the lady seems determined to make sure that the show becomes an astounding hit.
Sources reveal that Ekta consulted Sanjay B Jumaani to ensure that her new love story becomes an immediate success and ordered the lead girl Aditi Gupta to add and extra ‘D’ to her name.
Speaking about the consultation , Sanjay B Jumaani says, “Ekta has been consulting us for ages, and we have numerically corrected all her serials. With regards to Aditi, the lead girl of Ekta's new show, I found that as far as her DOB is concerned, she is well placed. She is ruled by No.2 which gives gifts of imagination and makes a person creative. Other popular names ruled by a No.2 are Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Dilip Kumar and Sanjay Dutt. In Aditi's case, her DOB is powerful, but her name had vibrations and could be sorted out with a spelling change. Hence I asked her to add an extra 'D' to her name.”
As far as this serial goes, Sanjay B Jumaani opines, "95% of Ekta's serials have been successful, thanks to her hard work and our numerology. So this applies to this serial too. Above all, Ekta is ruled by No.7 and Additi by No. 2 and both will strike a great balance.”
Aditi Gupta, now christened as Additi Gupta on the other hand says, "I have no clue as to why the name change was made. In fact i did not even know that Sanjay B Jumaani was consulted for the entire affair. Ekta Kapoor asked me to change my name and add an extra 'D' to it, and I gladly obliged."
Well, all's in a name Additi!! Here's the start to a wonderful career ahead!!

Saagar and Vidya as Amar and Divya in their new re-incarnated look
Banoo Main Teri Dulhann’s much-loved Jodi, Saagar and Vidya will be christened as Amar and Divya in their new re-incarnated look. As the duo have a role rehearsal in this birth, with Sharad Malhotra playing the less-educated when compared to the London-return Divyanka Tripathi, we talked to the stars themselves to get their views on their new look and character.
Divyanka Tripathi who plays the London-bred girl with a western influence to her language and style says, “I had to do a lot of research on my new character. I had to shop a lot for my clothes and work on my body language and style. I have a modern, but decent look. I always had one thing in mind that I will not show my skin, come what may!.”
When asked whether the audience will accept this sudden change in story line and characterization, an optimistic Divyanka replies, “I am sure they will accept us as we have worked very hard on this. When Vidya was introduced in the serial, I made the character famous thro' sheer hard work. Today, if Vidya has been accepted by the audience, so will Divya.”
Sharad Malhotra plays the happy-go-lucky tourist guide Amar and this is what the actor has to say about his new look. “Amar lives in Benaras with his brother. He is full of energy and chilled out, a very simple guy with a heart of Gold.” Sharad terms his journey in Dulhann as a roller-coaster ride full of ups and downs. “I started with playing a 8 year old followed by a 25 year old handsome guy, and then the phase where I had to enact both roles at the same time. I feel it is great for a male protagonist to get such an opportunity to play so many shades on television , where you need to think creatively to give your best shot”, says Sharad. Sharad will be seen bantering dialogues in the UP accent and style. “They speak a completely different twang in the village and I have a major problem with the diction. I am still working on perfecting it and hope all falls in place”.
We talked to Pearl Shahi, Creative Head to get her input on the reincarnation track. “We wanted to bring in freshness to the story, and wanted to show a blossoming love story between the protagonists, which we could not show earlier, as Vidya and Saagar fell in love only after marriage. We know that the audience will be delighted to see this phase and of course, we aim for more TRPs now.”
Talking about the Om Shanti Om look to the promos, Pearl says, “Yes, we went for it because we wanted the viewers to see the promo and immediately realize that this serial is going in for reincarnation.”
Last but not the least, talking about the story line, Pearl Shahi comments, “The first episode shown after the leap will see the entry of Divyanka aka Divya, who will return to Delhi from London. Now Sindoora is at Delhi, while Amar is situated at Benaras. The story will move as destiny takes Divya to Benaras where she will meet Amar and thus the love story begins.”
We wish Sharad and Divyanka a very successful second innings!!

A Dance face-off in Bidaai
Fans of Parul Chauhan aka Ragini of Bidaai will see her in a new avatar as the girl accepts the challenge and competes against Dolly (Shabaana Mullani), Vasundhara Rajvansh’s daughter in a dance face-off. The episode will be telecasted tonight, February 25th on Star Plus. Ragini takes this decision to save her sister Sadhana to prevent her from getting married to Vasundhara’s mentally challenged son, Alekh Rajvansh.
Speaking about the episode, the main protagonist Parul Chauhan says, “It has been a very hectic schedule for me and Shabana. We have been rehearsing continuously for three days for this episode. In fact I used to get so tired that I fainted nearly four times while rehearsing. It was tougher for me as I am not a dancer and I had to adapt to the Indian classical styles of dancing. If it was just dancing to a hindi song, I would have done it with a lot of ease, but dancing the tough steps of Bharatnatyam and Kathak on 'Woh Kisna Hain' and 'Moree Piya' was indeed overwhelming. Although, at the end of the day, my work was appreciated by one and all. But with this experience I have gotten over my fear of dancing and can say I am definitely more confident as a dancer now.” Commenting on the result of the competition and what fate has in store for Sadhana in the future episodes, Parul says, “I cannot reveal whether Ragini wins the competition or not. It is something for the viewers to look out for.”
Speaking about tonight’s episode, Parul’s competitor in the show Shabaana Mullani known as Dolly says, “In this episode we are both shown as competitors. In the earlier episodes, it was shown that I am a well trained dancer who doesn’t need any practice and nobody stands a chance before me. But as time goes by, Ragini picks up the steps and nuances of the classical dances so well that I start to feel threatened by her. I am very arrogant and egoistic and because of the insecurity, and want to win the competition by hook or by crook. Ragini needs to win the competition because of her family issues, but I want to win just to prove that there is nobody better than me.” Further adding about the result of the competition and if Ragini eventually succeeds in saving the situation Shabaana says, “To know that you will have to watch the episode and find out.”
Shabaana had a rather ecstatic time shooting for this episode as she shares her experience saying, “The whole experience was a lot of fun for me. I am a trained classical dancer myself and it was a great opportunity for me to showcase my talent through the show. Moreover, I got the chance to peform classical dances after a very long time, so it was very enjoyable for me.”

Sagar and Vidhya returns in a completely different avatar
A week back, Banoo Main Teri Dulhaan showed the two lead protagonists Sagar and Vidhya dying at the hands of Sindoora, leaving all fans and supporters of the show completely distraught and heart-broken. But the fans needn’t be too disappointed as their favourite jodi returns back re-incarnated in a completely different avatar.
While the previous track showed Sagar as the educated guy and Vidhya as the gaanv ki gori, the re-incarnation shows the opposite with Sharad Malhotra playing the role of a village yokel. His character is loosely based on Aamir Khan’s character from Raja Hindustani. Sharad is a tourist guide in Benaras and is very popular amongst kids and women. In spite of not being well educated, he is still manages charm people with his attitude. Divyanka Tripathi, better known as Vidhya, on the other hand, is born and brought up in London and lives her life in the lap of luxury, getting whatever she wants. She is a great looker and loves to flaunt this attribute of hers by dressing up and looking good all the time. She is very sweet and innocent and doesn’t like any form of cruelty.
Evil continues to prevail with Sindoora (Kamya Punjabi), being arrogant as ever but is now shown as a high-class lady who consults an astrologer before doing anything, yet, in her heart feels she is still invincible and can take anyone down. She returns back to her old schemeing self when she comes face to face with Sagar.
The death of the protagonists may have been a downer for the show’s fans, but this latest news is bound to leave them elated. Tune into Banoo Mein Teri Dulhaan this week, as many suprises begin to unfold.

'I am amazed at the response in Hong Kong' - Abhaas Joshi
Abhaas Joshi, the young and vivacious host of Chhote Ustaad is a happy man as he recently visited Hong Kong for his first ever international concert. He is equally excited like his other friends and participants of Star Voice of India, Ishmeet, Harshit, Toshi, Sumitra and Priyani who also gave scintillating performances in the concert. It was also a special treat for the Indian community in Hong Kong as they welcomed the Chinese Year of the Rat with this concert comprising of melodious classics of the 1970s all the way up to the contemporary favorites of today.
Abhaas is quite excited to have performed in Hong Kong. "I had a great time in Hong Kong and was memorable as it was my first ever international show. The experience and response has been so over whelming. All the Indians present there, made it to the show, all the tickets were sold off. It was an honor for me to witness this and be a part of this event. This was a one-time achievement for me", says Abhaas. Abhaas is also amazed at the response for the concert. “I was shocked seeing the craze for bollywood music there and was glad I could make a mark for my self. It was hard for it to sink in that I am internationally known as well. It's going to be one experience I can never forget. It was truly a touching moment for me", adds the young talent.
When quizzed about his future ventures he said, “Other than hosting Chhote Ustaad, I am coming out with an album with my elder brother, for Polio infected kids, called - Bawara Fakir. Whatever funds we get for the album, we'll donate it to the kids. It's a composition of various Bhajans. We've done this for a good cause and hope it works out”.

Khushbu and Neha Desai on their 'Grahasti'...
Star Dophar is all set to launch their new venture – Grahasti, an attempt to focus on women’s hardships in today’s world. The story revolves around a family, where the three daughters of the house, choose different paths and hence the plots begin to set. The Telly Buzz team caught up with two of the girls Khushbu and Neha Desai who will be playing the roles of Simar and Soni respectively.
Khushbu plays the eldest daughter of the house, a simple girl next door, who takes charge of the family post the tribulations. “I play the elder daughter of the house, who is going to face issues once the family is left shattered", says Khushbu. Talking on her past projects, Khushbu quips, “I have been in Mumbai only for about eight months and Grahasti is my first project ever”. When quizzed about the production house and her co-actors, the actress said, “I am blessed to work with such a team. Kiranji has been like our God father here. I was quite nervous to work with him, but he eased us out and now the set has become more like a home and a family…”
Neha Desai, who plays the youngest daughter of the house, can be rightly termed as the ‘Jack of all’. Neha is a media student whose luck favored her to land on the other side of the camera. “I am playing the youngest daughter in the show. I am currently doing my post graduation in Journalism and Mass Media. I have always wanted to try out something different. I was a finance student earlier, then jumped into mass media where I learned film making, anchoring, journalism and much more, and now I am into acting. I never believed I would be playing one of the protagonists in a show on Star Plus” said the excited Neha.
On the new venture, she added, “The cast has been like a complete family to us. I was so nervous to act in the same show as Kiranji. But on the first day, he made us sit down and told us that we’re like family; being new to the industry, he gave us the confidence that we lacked.”
We wish the girls all the very best for their career in acting!!

Anuj Saxena and Nausheen to appear in Kuchh Is Tara
Nausheen Ali Sardar, better known as Kkusum will be back as her famous SET character in a special episode of Kuchh Is Tara to be aired on Monday. It will be a one-hour special which will also see the couple, Ranbir and Kanya expressing their love for each other.
Nausheen aka Kkusum will be seen along with her on screen husband, Abhay played by Anuj Saxena and the duo will sing and dance on a number from Om Shanti Om. Nausheen was quite happy to be back with Balaji although for just a few hours. "Ekta had given me a break I and will be forever indebted to her. Anuj and I shared great on chemistry then and such things don't die away", says the gorgeous actress. "Our episode will open the layers of a new mystery on the show as well..." she further reveals.
Anuj Saxena on his part, was also quite enthused about this special. "I am doing this just for Ekta. Initially our item was supposed to have included Gauri and Hiten as well, but time constraint prevented them from coming aboard", states Anuj. He concludes by saying "Nausheen and I are great friends; it will be fun to dance with her..."
According to the Senior Creative Head, Star Plus Nivedita Basu, "This special episode fits the fun and light hearted nature of our show. Actually we wanted to have a cross over with Amber Dhara, but unfortunately the setting in the conjoined twin show currently does not allow for fun".
She went on to dismiss questions regarding the sale ability of Nausheen. “Agreed, she does not have anything major after our show! But vast sections of the public still recognize her as Kkusum and that is what we are leveraging”, says Nivedita.
P.S.: Nausheen lets us know that she will do a reality show very soon. “It’s something very different from the conventional ones. Just wait and watch for it”.

'I will do reality shows, as I want to help new talents'-Javed Akhtar
Mission Ustaad, the unique 9X reality show which blended entertainment with information and awareness, reached its culmination on Saturday night. The show had four pairs from the music industry – Sunali and Roopkumar Rathod, Mahalaxmi Iyer and Kailash Kher, Vasundhara Das and Mohit Chauhan and Shweta Pandit and Naresh Iyer composing their own songs for a cause. A UN initiative, the songs had to have a message around a social cause which could be unemployment, education, female infanticide, poverty and so on. It was about reminding India about the Millennium Development Goals the UN had set up, and the pledge our country had signed to realize them.
We caught up with Javed Akhtar, one of the judges on the show which had A R Rahman and UN South East Asia ambassador Lara Dutta too on the jury seats.
What are your thoughts as the competition draws to a close?
It was a different kind of a concept and obviously the experience of having judged it is different. Normally, entertainment is perceived to be mindless and informative, but Mission Ustaad was a mix of both and I feel we achieved a fair balance of the two. Since it was just not another music reality show, and had a definite agenda, a cause behind it, it gave me an opportunity to voice my thoughts, my views about the various issues plaguing our country. At least, an effort was made to reach out to the audience.
But the show doesn't seem to have got high TRPs..
Well, you have to understand that our show was on a new channel. But it has managed to give 9X a niche, an identity. It has given the channel a face. Besides, even if we managed to convey our message to a small percent of audience, we have succeeded.
What do you have to say about your co-judges?
(Smiles). Well, I have worked with A R Rahman. He's a genius. Lara was a pleasant surprise. I came to know that she is the youngest ambassador of South East Asia, UN. She was very well informed, clear-headed and made her comments with tremendous precision. She always made a valid point.
Who were you most impressed by among the contestants?
They all were good at some point or the other. They composed some great songs with some great messages. I was particularly impressed by Roop Kumar's range. I always knew he was a good singer, but Mission Ustaad brought across a completely different Roop. I was very impressed. And of course, Kailash is Kailash. Vasundhara is a great performer. Mahalaxmi is a fine singer. After Alka Yagnik and Kavita Krishnamurthy, she and Sunidhi Chauhan are the new generation of singers. Naresh and Shweta are the young blood, plucky and talented.
You have judged a populist reality show like Indian Idol and now something like Mission Ustaad. How would you compare the creative satisfaction you may have got from judging these two shows?
Well, Idol was totally different. Mission Ustaad was more about content, composition and who could bring across the message more effectively. Idol was about who could sing a song more magically. I enjoyed both. Yes, I will do more reality shows because I am all for encouraging new talent. Since 1972, the year I got into the film industry, I have always supported new composers, new singers, and newer kids. It makes me proud to be of some help to these younger talents. For instance, Amit Paul who I clearly thought should have been the Idol 3 winner but couldn't, is singing my songs for my forthcoming films.
Finally have you seen Farah's children? (Farah Khan is his niece)
Of course I have. They are beautiful babies. It was a joy to see them.

A fresh new love story on the cards
Zee’s Meri Doli Tere Angana is all set for a re-vamp. The show that started out as the struggle of a woman who believed in herself is now taking a new turn. The Telly Buzz team caught up with the cast and director to get an insight of what’s in store for the audience.
In the latest track shown, the lead protagonists RuhaanSimran were shown being shot and now Priyamvada Sawant who was playing the role of Simran has been ousted from the show and fans have retaliated to this change.
and
Refuting the retaliations on the new twist, producer Rahul Bhatt says, “I know that the audience has been very loyal till now and I hope that they continue to do so even now. The story was becoming stagnant and demanded a change. But instead of doing the very common leap, we decided to change the entire story track and decided to cast new characters. Even the landscape has been changed. The scenes will now be shot in Madhya Pradesh.” Talking further about the new story track, Rahul says, “We are not going to take a leap. After the accident, Gaurav will lose his memory and will now be living with another family. The whole story will now revolve around him. The story will more or less be on the lines of Raj Kapoor’s film Henna. It will be very interesting story to watch. The star cast includes veteran actors like Rajiv Verma, Gufi Paintal and Rahul Lohani of Jab Love Hua fame and Shruti Sharma, who is a new face in television. ”
Speaking on the latest change in the track, Priyamvada says, “There are many reasons why they are changing the storyline and I am not a part of it, hence I cannot tell you why it is changing. And television is all about twists and turns in daily soaps. I am quite comfortable with whatever the producers and the channel decide. They wanted to portray a different character and I did not fit the bill and I was fine with it.”
Commenting on the new track, new comer Shruti Sharma says, “The track of the story has entirely changed and two new characters have been introduced, i.e, Rahul Lohani and me. Earlier it was two women vying for one man, but now the tables have turned and it will be two men vying for one girl. The main lead, Ruhaan, gets shot and lands up in an unknown place, I meet him there and take him to the hospital and visit him often. I am getting married to Rahul, but I start developing feelings for the stranger and the story proceeds from there.”
The audience has by far loved and appreciated leaps in television serials, but now it is to be seen if this new concept will receive the same adulation.

Gagan Malik gets his first lead role.
Gagan Malik, the bubbly and charming Sharman in Star Plus’ Kumkum Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan has bagged his first ever lead role in Zee’s new serial, ‘Saath Banaayenge Ek Aashiyaan’, which is slotted for the afternoon band of 1pm, starting March 10th.
Talking about the basic story line and his character, Gagan says, “The story is basically about two couples. My cousin brother played by Amit Tandon comes from abroad and gives me a surprise, by introducing his American girlfriend. At the same time, arrangements are being made for his marriage to a village-belle, Lajwanti. At this point, I decide to marry the girl so that my brother can marry his love”. Talking about this irony of marrying his brother’s would-be, Gagan laughs it off and says, “I think wherever I land, I get married to my brother’s girl. The same happened in Kumkum too.”
Elaborating more on his character, Gagan states, “I play a very positive character and I am really looking forward to this serial”.
So where does the future of Sharman lie? “Well, I really do not know what the creatives have planned. My track in Kumkum is there only till the reincarnation track starts. I guess my last day in Kumkum will be on February 29th, which is also my birthday”, says a sad Gagan.
An optimist, as he is, the actor then says, “If my fans really want me back in Kumkum, then I am sure the channel will bring me back in some role or the other”. When we pointed out regarding the time clash of Kumkum and his serial on Zee, a diplomatic Gagan says, “I know that people who watch Kumkum will be in a dilemma to choose between Kumkum and my new serial. But I am hopeful that my fans support me and see me in my new serial too”.

Roop Kumar Rathod and Sonali Rathod top the Ustaads
9X's Mission Ustaad, a thirteen week musical journey for a charitable cause, witnesses its finale today, the 23rd of February 2008. As the competition of the four singing Ustaads of the nation comes to an end, Roop Kumar Rathod and Sonali Rathod top the Charts and take over the winning Trophy. The Telly Buzz team talks to the winning jodi, on their experience of being in a one of a kind show like Mission Ustaad..
Post Mission Ustaad, Roop Kumar Rathod has quite a few plans under his wings. "I am currently composing for an upcoming movie - Dhoom Dhadaka, which is a Shashi Ranjan film. It's a commercial movie, which seems to be the latest trend now. Hearing the music that I've given for this movie, it's going to be a complete shocker for the industry. No one's going to believe that I could make commercial song numbers as well. Besides that, Sonali and I are coming up with two albums, one is called- Sufiana and the second one is again a commercial album."
His better half in both, in the competition and in real life - Sonali Rathod was top notch excited for her victory in the show. "I am truly touched by winning the competition. The efforts put by us were well recognized. It was tougher to sing the original songs, but what was even harder was to sing the popular ones. I was known as a Ghazal singer uptil now, but Javed Akthar and Rehman discovered the new talents in me. I was glad that I could get this platform, and to be a part of a show that was so innovative and has such a good cause to it." On an ending note, Sonali says, "Even though the show has ended, I truly hope that the journey towards making the world a better place to live, never ends".

Amit Paul Returns for the Maha Muqabala on K for Kishore
After all the fracas on the last episode, Amit Paul, who could not make it on the show due to health problems, returns to the fold of K for Kishore in time for the Maha Muqabla episode. Among the 14 Challengers seen last week the successful six were Rex D'Souza, Ammanat Ali and Sikandar both from Pakistan, Amit Paul (IBN 7 Challenger), Anil Srivastav and K Shailendra. The judges announced that Radio Mirchi Challenger Rinku Mallik, the visually handicapped lad from Amritsar, would be the guest performer on every show as a special guest.
The episode begins with an entertaining tug –of- war between the six successful Challengers and the Super Six belting out Jahan teri yeh nazar hai... The episode has a new format with each one of the Super Six taking on the young Challengers. So while Apurva sang Jaanu meri jaan…with gusto, Rex D'Souza came up with an equally exuberant Ruk jaana o jaana… Pakistan's Sikandar responded with Mere naina saawan bhadon… in reply to Nayan Kumar's (Rathod) heartfelt O saathi re… Chintan Bakiwala surprised all with his near perfect rendition of Zaroorat hai zaroorat hai … and met his match with Mere saamnewali khidki mein from Amit Paul.
It is fun, frolic and great singing on K for Kishore. The duel has truly begun. The competition is getting hotter. The contestants are gearing up for a tough fight. But it is not only about competing. All the contestants are here to pay tribute to their singing idol and guru. So there is also the fun challenges put up by the Super Six for these young newcomers in the fray. The result: Great Kishore songs and insights.
Catch the action, music, song and masti on K for Kishore this Friday, February 22, at 9.00 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.

The Big Fight Continues On K for Kishore..
Continuing the big fight from Friday night, K for Kishore reaches a feverish pitch on Saturday, February 23. First, the three Challengers take on their respective opponents from the Super Six to a duel with songs and then comes the interesting part. The judges challenge them to perform a certain hilarious singing task.
New Challenger from Guna, (Madhya Pradesh) Anil Srivastav who impressed one and all with his power-packed first performance opens the show with Peenewaalon ko peene ka bahana chahiye… and takes on Milind Ingle who responded with Thodisi jo peeli hai… Milind won hands down with his yodeling skill. Chetan Rana's Rote rote hasna seekho… got Amanat Ali to reply with Phoolon ka taaron ka sabka kehna hai… While Arnab Charaborty's Haan pehli baar had K Shailendra come up with Aate jaate khubsoorat… If the true blue banga bandhu Arnab sang a Bengali song then the non-Bengali did not lag behind in coming up with one either!
The duel in this round is well fought. It is not just the contestants who provide the entertainment with their singing; the judges too are in a mood for some fun too. Why else would Bappi Lahiri croon songs especially for Rajeshwari? His favorite song for her is Dhoop mein nikla na karo roop ki rani! (Babul Supriyo must be feeling left out with all this attention being showered on his co-host.) Sudesh Bhosle does not lag behind with his funny one-liners while Amit Kumar has his own brand of humour that has everyone in splits!
The judges are going to have a tough time eliminating one from amongst them. Is your favorite contestant still in the running?
Find out on K for Kishore on Saturday February 23 at 9.00 p.m. only on Sony Entertainment Television.

Aditya Narayan And Karishma Tanna on Kaho Na Yaar Hai
Pandemonium and disbelief ruled on the sets of Reliance Mobile Kaho Na Yaar Hai when Aditya Narayan took centre stage and stole the show from the host of the show, Karan Patel. Aditya Narayan and Karishma Tanna are the celebrity participants in the upcoming episode of Reliance Mobile Kaho Na Yaar Ha,i but everyone was in for a surprise and stared in disbelief when Aditya Narayan, at the onset of the show, introduced himself as the anchor!
Much to Karan Patel's dismay, the audience seemed to be entertained and were enjoying Aditya Narayan's anchoring. Just when the tempo was peaking, Karan interrupted the new host and reminded him that he is merely a participant of the show and not the anchor! Very reluctantly, Aditya proceeded to the floor to play the game of friendship and fun, Reliance Mobile 'Kaho Na Yaar Hai'.
Karishma Tanna, accompanied by her friends, Preeti and Neeti received a warm welcome from the audience. It was a laugh riot on the sets, as Karishma danced to Aditya's tunes as a penalty for missing an answer in the first round itself! Not to take defeat easily, Karishma retaliated when she made him dance like a chicken in front of the whole crowd!
Audiences were in for a bigger surprise when pretty women walked across the floor wearing attractive accessories, only to realize that they were actually Aditya and his friends disguised as women! Daler Mehendi in Funjabbi Chak De
This episode of Brooke Bond Red Label Funjabbi Chak De takes into account the world of fashion – the most stylish to the most outrageous, all in vintage funjabbi style. From fashion disasters to the oddities of different fashion statements, this episode talks about every possible thing that comes in its purview. Daler Mehndi gives a cordial rendition of ‘Ali Ali’ – his mystical voice taking the song to a different high altogether. He joins Navjot Sidhu and Mandira Bedi on the jury table straight after his performance. With his guards completely down, Daler seems to have fit into the madness of the Funjabbi world perfectly. His rather unorthodox fashion statement with the diamond owl hanging from his waist seems to have picked the fancy of a few comedians too many. Outstanding performances by Parvez Siddiqui and Chandan Prabhakar set the tone for the episode while the grassroot raw humour of Khayali and Rajiv Thakur take this episode to being one of the funniest on Funjabbi Chak De ever. The judges look tired laughing and the performers themselves seem to enjoy it more than anyone else. Funkars Earl and Satyajit come in with their own share of fun. While Earl gets Sidhu and Mandira to join him in his rap representation of the Funjabbi world, Satyajit the ventriloquist gets his puppet to do all the talking while he flirts with Mandira outrageously. Easily one of the best episodes of Funjabbi Chak De, this is an absolute sure shot when it comes to unadulterated funtertainment.

This is just the start to a new Beginning
The saying that ‘Good things eventually come to an end’ is surely going to be rewritten by the very popular on screen jodi of Saagar and Vidya in Zee’s Banoo Main Teri Dulhann.
We caught up with a laidback and thrilled Sharad Malhotra, who was packing his bags to go home, to be his family. “I can’t believe that I have got a break at last. I am very eager to be with them, I am flying tomorrow to Kolkata and will be back in 3-4 days”, says Sharad in an excited tone. We tried to quiz him on the re-incarnation track and pat comes the reply, “We will be back with a bang. Just be patient and watch out for the new track.” The actor though, indicated that there will be a special episode on February 21st, marking the ‘Chautha’ of Saagar and Vidya which will be very emotional. “This episode will witness many celebrities from other serials coming and offering their condolences. This episode is a must-watch”, adds the popular actor.
We further talked to Shyamji, Director of Banoo Main Teri Dulhann to check out what the serial is going to offer the viewers in the coming days. Says Shyamji, “I cannot reveal much as of now. The only thing I can say is that they both will be back very soon. In fact, you can see one of them being re-introduced just the next week, while the other’s entry will be a bit delayed.” Talking about the track ahead, the director says, “Things are going to be mind-blowing and you will witness some thing that has never been seen before on Television.” Elaborating on the new characters to be introduced, Shyamji says, “We will introduce at least 12-13 new characters, who will be the new family of the protagonists. We cannot talk of the cast as of now. So just wait and watch as they will have a new beginning.”
The serial was raking very high TRPs even without the re-incarnation track. So where was the need for this new twist? “The serial was going really well, but we had shown plenty of things in these 2 years. Knowing the fact that we got high TRPs because of our 3 main characters, that of Saagar, Vidya and Sindoora, we wanted to introduce freshness in the serial by keeping these pivotal characters and actors intact and introducing many new. Hoping for the best now”, says Shyamji.

Sachin Shroff enters Naaginn as Shayantani gets a makeover..
Zee’s popular show over the weekend, Naaginn is all set to take a leap today, thus adding much more flavor to the story. All this while, the show had serious elements, but now, as Sachin Shroff makes his entry along with the naaginn Shayantani Ghosh getting a make over, the show now has a sigh of freshness and a pinch of romance. The Telly Buzz team had a talk with both the leading faces of the show, on what’s more in store with the leap, the make over and the new elements in the show…
After being tagged as the perfect husband in Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and a perfect son in Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hain, Sachin Shroff now plays a happy - go - lucky city guy, who’s head over heals for the village girl - Amrita.
“Arjun is a very happy go lucky, boy next door, whose views are larger than life, he makes sure to put up smiles wherever he goes. He’s quite vibrant and has his own way of seeing life. I cannot compare my self to Shahrukh Khan, but Arjun’s character is quite similar to what Shahrukh played in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge", says the jubilant Sachin. When asked if it was unusual for him to be a part of a show that’s quite out of the world, he replied, “I am not playing a Naag here, I am pretty much a city boy. Above all, this is a character that I haven’t played earlier, he’s not like Dhruv, and he’s someone quite different.” Sachin ends by stating, “I am looking forward to this character. I was a little reluctant earlier, but looking at the characterization and the way the show’s going, I made up my mind that I would like to try out…”
As the show enters a whole new phase, Shayantani Ghosh, the protagonist of the show states, “We are entering the main storyline where there will be a hero and a love story. Till now there was no hero in the serial.. I stay in a village and I meet Arjun, then he falls in love with me but being an ichadari nagin, I resent the feelings towards him. Later on, I find out that his parents have killed my parents. Thus, I marry him at first with the intention of taking revenge and the story track moves on, as I debate on my situation…"
Shayantani is excited about the make over, where she now plays a girl next door, “Yes definitely, I used to always be clad in Amprapali dress and now I am playing a naagin where I will wear salwar kameez which will bea big relief for me” stated the lady. On Sachin Shroff’s entry, Shayantani states, “Sachin Shroff is the main character and he‘ll be the guy who I get married to. He saves my life from the villagers when all of them come to know that I am an Ichadari naagin… The story takes of where, I try and avoid him because I am an Ichadari Naagin and cannot fall in love with a normal human being. But slowly we start liking each other.”
Wishing the dashing Sachin Shroff and the girl with the make-over, Shayantani all the very best for Naagin…

A new hurdle to face, for Prachi….
The ardent viewers of Kayamath have reasons to smile now, as the much-loved Milind is getting back from the jaws of death. Last week witnessed a big twist in the serial wherein Ayesha, in an effort to bump off Prachi ended up being the reason for Milind’s very drastic accident.
The fans of MICHI, (Milind and Prachi) have been demanding the union of their most loved Jodi for some time now, and it now looks like the Creatives have finally decided to give the viewers some reason to smile. So does it mean that the union of MICHI is right on the cards now? Well, in the world of soaps, all good twists get followed by a sad twist to the tale. So what can be expected in the storyline of Kayamath in days to come?
According to our sources, the story will now move with Milind facing a life and death situation in the hospital and Prachi, being the dutiful wife prays for the well being of her husband. Neev has his own doubts on Ayesha, and all opens up when Prachi realizes that Ayesha, in a bid to kill Prachi ended up hurting Milind. Milind finally gets back to health, but here lies the next twist to the tale. Milind gets back home, but he is a changed man now. Well, what is the reason for this change in behavior? The fact is that Milind has lost his memory partially. He remembers everything, except the happenings in the past one year.. Alas!! Now what will happen to Prachi?
How will Prachi manage to get her love back? What will the confrontation between Prachi and Ayesha end up in? Will Neev be able to catch Ayesha red-handed? And above all, will Neev help Prachi to come out of this complicated situation?
As for now, the story line is bound to give mixed reactions for the viewers!! Happiness owing to the return of Milind, which probably gets overshadowed by the grief that MICHI are still not together, what with Milind losing track of the most ‘precious phase’ of his life…
