Star Plus afternoon show Bhabhi seems to be on the way out. According to sources this afternoon slot show will be taken off by the end of the month and might be replaced by Shobna Desai's ‘Humari Devrani’. Lead actress Rucha Gujrathi admitted that she had heard similar talk. “But we have not yet got any official confirmation from the production house”, says the actress. When we spoke to Ajeet Thakur UTV, Content Head he did not deny that something was on the cards. “But we have not taken the final call yet”, said he. When asked as to if low TRP could be the reason why for the show going off air, Rucha said, “On the contrary, TRPS have raised post my return”. If the buzz is true then it’s quite surprising that Bhabhi which was doing well in the afternoon band is being axed. Even Thakur said that rating alone was not the reason; there were other issues as well.
However Rucha being practical is already looking ahead. “I am in talks with a certain channel, let’s wait and watch what comes out of it. I would love to do non fiction reality shows though”, confides the actress. However, our source says that she might be doing a Zee TV project.
