Sony Entertainment Television brings its first ever family based musical talented show -‘Waar Parriwar - Sangeet Ka Naya Gharana’ wherein there will be 12 best musical families competing for the title of 'Sangeet Ka Gharana'. Our Amchi Mumbai girl, Urmila Matondkar for the first time in the history of Indian television will be hosting the musical show which will begin from April 28th, Monday-Wednesday at 8PM only on Sony Entertainment Television.
This musical show is produced and directed by pioneer of music-based entertainment shows on Indian Television, Gajendrra Siingh. Commenting on his new show, Gajendrra Siingh said, “This show is basically a show about various Gharanas that people have never heard till date. I wanted a show, where the mother father and one or two other members in the family follow the sur and taal of the same Gharana. Even the sets are made in royal style just to give a feel of our culture and revive our old tradition of Gharana”. After giving popular shows like Antakshri, Sa Re Ga Ma, Voice of India and Chote Ustaad… to name a few, his new show Waar Parriwar- Sangeet Ka Naya Gharana is all set to make a difference!
Commenting on the show, Albert Almeida, Executive Vice President and Business Head, Sony Entertainment Television, said, "Music is the universal language that transcends all barriers. Talking about how he got this offer, the handsome Romit explains, “It was a very special moment. Actually I was in Kolkata for a wedding, when I was asked by the production house to do this role. I immediately took an early morning flight as I didn't want to miss out on such a fantastic opportunity. I am playing myself, that's ‘Romit Raj', in the party.”
Give us a brief about your character, Pinakin?



Soni Singh steps into Manjeet’s shoes as she becomes the third bahu in Teen Bahuraniyaan. Giving an insight on how she enters the Gheewala Parivaar, Soni says, “I play a very simple girl named Kajal. The Gheewalas call the girl and her family home as marriage talks of Kajal and Mahesh is on. But Mahesh, played by Prashant Chawla abuses them and throws them out of the house. But eventually the marriage does happen. Later, Kajal slowly changes her colours and gets negative.” And what is the motive behind the negative shade of the character, we ask? Soni quips, “I haven’t got the narration of that part as yet. So I really don’t have any idea.”
